2. Build

In this stage, OBS works together with your staff to make your product plan a reality, all the way from code writing to market launch.

To us, production management during the build phase means risk management. If your project calls for an off-the-shelf or open-source software solution, we can assist in vendor identification, interviewing, final selection, contract negotiations, installation, set-up, training, maintenance, and oversight. When custom code is the answer, OBS may serve as general contractor, offering supervision of the developers and accountability for their work as your product takes shape and moves into production.

Regardless of the software solution, to us, project management means regular communication in the form of weekly burn-rate reports discussed in brief phone calls or WebExes. This helps avoid surprises along the path to creating well-engineered production code.

Because the global online marketplace is large and getting larger, we take the unusual position that we succeed by helping you become independent of us. As each project takes wing and we transfer our knowledge to you, both parties are ready to turn, hopefully, to the next project, with your team readier and more knowledgeable.

Cost: We will manage the overall project budget and schedule put forward in the approved product plan; fees and rates negotiated in advance.
